Paraway commenced in 2007 with the purchase of Pooginook Merino Stud in the Riverina region of NSW. Today we own and operate 27 diverse agricultural enterprises across QLD, NSW and VIC with total land holdings in excess of 4.4 million hectares. Pooginook is centrally located to the major centres of Griffith (1hr) and Wagga Wagga (2hrs) and conveniently located 14kms from Coleambally with a school bus to the front gate to preschool, primary and high schools.  Pooginook Station comprises 19,656 hectares of native and irrigated grazing land formed from an aggregation of two original pastoral holdings; Pooginook and Stud Park North. Pooginook is a progressive, innovative, and leading Merino Stud in Australia, selling around 1,000 rams annually. Pooginook is currently joining 6,000 Merino ewes with plans to increase this number. The main enterprise is Merino ram breeding for our annual on property auction and paddock sales. There is a commercial flock run alongside the 4,000 fully DNA recorded stud ewes. A small commercial cattle breeding operation of 200 Angus heifers joined to Wagyu’s plus opportunistic cattle trading or agistment when seasonal conditions allow.  The current station team consists of Station Manager, Overseer and 2 full-time staff as well as contractors used for key animal health processes and infrastructure improvements.We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and innovative Assistant Manager to help drive the operation in a new position you can make your own. You will be enthusiastic, positive, ambitious and driven to succeed. You must be able to lead a team as well as being able to take direction. You will be part of the leadership team with combined responsibility for the annual management calendar, the budget, and operations.
